Traditionally Football or soccer has been game for Europeans and wherever European went during colonial time should be crediting for spreading the game in those countries. Till recently there used to be one or 2 entries from Affric and Asia and now it has moved to 4 spots from each quotients. Soccer is getting popular in Asia but has not touched the hype and following it has in Europe or Africa.
Top teams often get offers for their top players from private club. Today 90 percent of top players from all world cup soccer playing countries play club level soccer in Europe. These privately owned soccer club should be credited for spreading soccer in Europe and raising the bar for soccer standards.
